“THE BEAUTY OF A WOMAN IS NOT IN A FACIAL MOLE, BUT TRUE BEAUTY IN A WOMAN IS REFLECTED IN HER SOUL. IT IS THE CARING THAT SHE LOVINGLY GIVES, THE PASSION THAT SHE KNOWS.”

-AUDREY HEPBURN

BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP

Beauty is only skin deep. Ever heard of that saying? We agree. Being beautiful has to do with so much more than just the outside appearance. Do we mind a beautiful appearance? Not at all, we encourage women to look after their appearance. We do however believe to be truly beautiful it is not only the outside that counts. Our heart is where our true beauty lies. Our character can make us truly beautiful. However, here are a few cost effective and very important beauty tips that we tend to forget and that are so important when we want to look after our appearance and longevity.

DRINK ENOUGH WATER

Your body consists of 80% water. Your skin needs it for elasticity (anti-wrinkle anybody?) and every cell in your body needs it to function properly. Water also flushes out toxins from your body for clearer skin. It is something that is a necessity and will definitely contribute to your beauty – That is if you keep at it. Consume at least 2 liters of water everyday. Add some lemons, strawberries, mangoes or limes as a refresher and to add some vitamins to your beauty drink. To make it easy on yourself, buy a water bottle that holds at least 500 ml and prepare your water vitamin infusion every morning. If you carry it around you will remember to keep refilling it with water. Are you drinking enough water?

GET ENOUGH SLEEP

Remember to get enough beauty sleep. Remember how your grandmother always used this phrase. well there is a reason why. Sleep is very important, getting enough rest helps your body to age slower and heal quicker. Sleep at least 8 hours a night.

FUN IN THE SUN

Sun boosts your serotonin. Serotonin is our happy hormone. Happy hormones have you smiling and laughing which makes for a beautiful and attractive you and sun gives you a healthy dose of vitamin D. This is the most natural way of obtaining vitamin D which helps your body in numerous ways including in boosting your immune. Who ever looked beautiful when sick? But remember too much of a good thing is not a good thing. Too much sun can cause wrinkles and sunburn is very unattractive. So maximum 20 mins sun a day.
